Q: What is the best treatment for a sinus headache?
Bad allergies, and my allergy pill does not seem to be cutting it..any ideas?
Umm..Moses, don't you have a burning bush to tend to?
A: I like to drill a small hole into my skull to let the pressure abate.
Q: What's the best topical treatment for post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation ?
I want to get rid of the nasty dark coin-sized spots I got after I had an allergy. They're found on my legs. I've been reading a lot of articles lately about laser pulse light treatments that get rid of them, but I'm not yet ready to pursue that kind of procedure (plus, I hear they're quite expensive). Thanks!!!
A: try aloe vera it works
check this blog for info on aloevera gel
Q: What's the best treatment for a bee sting to the face?
I was stung on the side of the nose almost 2 days ago and am still rather swollen. (and looking a bit ridiculous because of the location) I've been icing and taking benadryl allergy. It helps take down some of the swelling, especially in the morning, but some of the swelling around my eye is still prevalent. Any ideas? Do i need to see my doctor?
I'm not having any trouble breathing or anything like that.
Cheers!
A: If you are a smoker, wet some tobacco and apply it directly to the sting location.....Chewing tobacco will have the same effect. I know it sounds gross but it works.....takes the sting out quickly.
Q: what are the best treatments for mange?
my 15 week old pup has mange.
the vet gave me some antibiotics to slow it down, but this will not cure it. he said that the pup's immune system has to cure it on its own.
he said that he recommends a dna test to see if the pup is eligible to try out some medicine?
he said i could think about it.
just curious how many of you have had exp with mange, and what is the usual the treatment for it?
also, if you know of any alternative methods to help my pup.
what i can do about my pup's immature compromised immune system.
when i got him he was in really realy really really bad shape. he had all kinds of things wrong with him. everything had cleared up except for this itchiness that he had. i felt like something was wrong and i asked my old vet and he said it was just allergies. then i noticed bald spots a couple days ago (i've had this pup since 8 weeks), and i took him to a new vet (didn't trust the old one very much and that was the last straw), and then this new vet talks about the dna test and i found it kind of odd sounding...
just wanted to know what i could do and what is the usual treatment before i invest a million dollars to be taken advantage of.
thanks.
by the way i think my dog is a black lab apbt cross if that helps any.
A: The most common treatment is Mitaban dips. They don't work well, and cost a fortune because they have to be done over and over and over and over..... The BEST treatment is oral ivermectin. It is not expensive if you use ivomec and have your vet give you a dosage. There is a new protocol that some have tested using large doses of oral ivermectin over a four day period then repeating it a couple of weeks later. It was published in the American Veterinarian Journal if your vet will look it up for you to get dosages. Using ivermectin drops the cost from hundreds of dollars to less than fifty to treat the disease.
I believe Mitaban is the only FDA approved treatment for mange which is why so many vets use it. Using ivermectin is off label use. But it works better. And vets can make up to $1000 on Mitaban dips in comparison to one appt for Ivomec, so that makes Mitaban more popular too.
Demodectic mange is a genetic disease. You should feed this dog well to support his immune system.
Q: Best undereye cream or treatment for puffiness?
I have allergies so my eyes are usually puffy and baggy. Which undereye creams or remedies work best? Cucumber, tea bags and the like don't work and I'm already cutting down on the amount of sodium I consume but in the meantime I'd like suggestions for a topical treatment. *Please no one suggest Preparation H. That doesn't work and even if it did, I don't want it on my face* Thanks in advance!
A: i use THE BODY SHOP elda flower eye gel. keep it in the fridge, to keep it cold and it helps with the puffieness.
Q: What is the best acne/black head treatment that doesn't contain sylisilic acid?
I've used silicilic acid based acne washes and I always break out more and when I stop using it, my skin clears for a week or so. I believe I have a sencitivity/allergy to this ingredient.
What are other options?
My pores get clogged quickly. My skin dries out when I use harsh acne washes.
Oh wow... I apologize for the spelling...I'm typing in my iPhone and I'm too tired to do it carefully..
A: Hot water on a rag. Wipe your face clean. I have the same problemb and it really works!
Q: What is the best way to deal with allergies (puppy saliva)?
My husband and I have been planning to get a dog for almost a year. We both really, really want a Dobermann. Finally, we made the decision, contacted some breeders. Then, when we made the date to go out and visit the puppies, my husband broke out in hives and couldn't breathe. We left heartbroken and wondered if anyone has experienced something similar and found a way to deal with it (apart from not getting a dog or not getting Dobermann). We are looking at homeopathic treatments, antihistamines, etc. but want to hear from others who have had a similar experience and as to what they have done?
Thank you to those who have responded so far. Emaf1UK, my husband also had ambitions to be a vet. Right now, we don't know if his allergy is generalised to dogs or just to Dobermanns. He has an appointment with an allergist on Wednesday. It was encouraging to read that you were able to develop somewhat of an immunity to your Alsatians. My husband had an Alsatian years ago whom he was not allergic to. So, we don't know if this allergy is something that has come with age. Ironically, we have 3 cats and he does fine with them...so, it is all very perplexing. We were so heartbroken and are not sure if we should make the investment or trust that treatments will work or that he will develop an immunity over time as you suggested.
A: Truth is, there is no such thing as non-allergenic pets. Check out the source I've pasted below for a comprehensive explanation and suggestions on reducing allergic symptoms :)
Q: What is the best way to get rid of bags under eyes?
One of my eyes is starting to develop a bag under it, which is probably due to a lack of sleep. I know it's probably not allergy related, because it has never happened this time of year before. Any creams or treatments I can do to get rid of this?
About this Garnier formula. Can you give me a specific name?
A: ya theres this Garnier nutritioniste skin renew roller anti puff eye roller
its green you roll it under your eyes before you go to bed
Q: What is the best medicine ?
Is it Western conventional ? or Holistic? Natural Medicine? Acupuncture ? Chiropractic ? Homeopathy ? Herb? Vitamins ? To maintain mental and physical well being ? and when you get allergy, virus, and flue ?? I would think like Cancer, you would want to go see a Conventional doctor,...I have heard in th beginning, it was Eastern / Chinese / Indian Natural medicine was common, however, ever since FDA came along, it changed the Nation's entire BUSINESS practice by pushing DRUG company to make billions of $$$, and Western Doctor just give you diagnose and prescribe drugs....I heard its a money making scan? I am afraid who to trust and what really is IS the best treatment / approach for general health concern ??? What do YOU personally do about YOUR personal need ? Please share your thoughts, and experiences. Thanks.
You know, it is depend on WHERE you live and WHICH doctor (WESTERN) you go, you can LIVE OR DIE. This is also very scary, but all they gonna say is...SORRY. IN the end patient and their family and friends loose loved ones, no going back one he / she is dead due to ONE doctor basically get paid go home.
A: this is a very hard question and I believe it depends on what sickness you have, what kind of person you are, and how your body responds. I think that a mixture of all of these can really help, i have a gastric motility disorder and with acupuncture, medicines, herbs, vitamins, and psychiatry im feeling better
Q: Best medicine or treatment for my stuffy nose?
It's were because the left nostril is really stuffy but the right one really isn't. I took Zyrtec for allergies (they're not very bad though) but it didn't seem to help. Blowing my nose doesn't help much either. Suggestions...? Thanks :)
A: i get stuffy noses ALL THE TIME and i use nazel spray(any brad really works for me),but the one i am using right now is the best one that i have used yet(i do not know the name for it).
well,i hope i helped a little:^)and sorry i did not know the name of it.
Q: Which steam inhaler do you recommend the best?
I am looking at Vicks Personal Steam Inhaler, and Kaz Aromatic Inhalant Pads, 6 Pack. I have never owned one and I need it for sinus infection/chest congestion/cold/flu/allergy treatments. I will be the only one using it and do not need big fancy model, but something light and easy to use, yet affective and last a long time. The Vicks Inhaler just boils water and create a steam. I was hoping to be able to drop an Eucalyptus Oil, but I was not sure if it is OK to use. I know they offer these inhalant Pads. It can get quite expensive if I kept buying these pads.
I wonder if I should just boil a water in stainless Steel pot, and if I wanted to, just drop these oil / medicine?
A: Have you tried vicks vapor rub? I find it so much better than a steamer. Unless you must get one, then just get a basic humidifier in the baby section. you can add most things to them. Keep in mind, they will make your bedroom HOT. and they are loud, you need to clean them well after use or they will build up junk in the filters and the lines.
Again, try vicks vapor rub first, if you dont like the feeling of it on your chest, put some on a face cloth and pin it to your pj's (get old baby cloth diaper pins, they wont poke you over night).
also keep in mind a cheap nebulizer will work better adn you wont have to run it all noght long
Q: To any experienced naturopathic/homeopathics out there, what is the best way to clear up respiratory illness?
What is the best way to clear up respiratory illness whether it is any stage pf pneumonia, bronchitis, toxic inhalation, allergies, even anaphalaxis (naturally/herbally)? A brief history & my experience, I had stage II pneumonia bacterial/viral they never could diagnose it, I went to an urgent care after the pain I fely in my lower back, they gave me new generation drugs, cipro, & 2 others because within 3 days of treatment with each type, I had allergic reactions, mild anaphalaxis, & the only thing that would clear me up was childrens liquid Benedril, I would sneeze profusley, feel my chest open up, drink a ton of distilled water, & Bio-K (look it up) it was the ONLY pro-biotic, no organic plain yogurt, no super biotics would clear up the ferocious yeast infection I had that multiplied, only Bio-K has 50 BILLION, not the 9 milliom live acidophilus, & cleared that up, but I had to stop all forms of drugs, I could not get them to give me the old time cillins (old generation drugs).
A: Yikes! Poor thing. I use therapeutic essential oils for just about everything i have or get! I like to diffuse around the sleeping area usually for respiratory i use lavender, lemon, and blends. I also take acidophilus. Make sure the oils are of pure therapeutic grade. I use only Young Living with amazing results. Check out Essential Science Publishing. They have an Essential Oil Desk reference that is my bible. I have all three editions. Best of luck!
Q: please help me get rid of my cold, what medicines work best?
i've been sick with a cold for a week now and i don't wanna go to a doctor because of the long waits. my symptoms are watery eyes and headache and runny nose i also have chapped lips and red around my eyes. i doubt its allergies because noone in my family has had them. what is the best home treatment for trhis cold. i have been drinking fluids like OJ, eating Chicken soup, sleeping with a vaporizer, and using chapstick but no signs of improvement what over the counter medicines and home treatments are good for me. i can't seem to get any rest or sleep becumse my nose running keeps me up all night. what is best medicines for the nose and humidifier or vaporizer
A: Use steam such as from a hot shower, and to your drinks add tea with lemon, ginger, and honey in it.
For medicines, you might try Nyquil or perhaps even Sudafed.
If this mess doesn't start clearing up fast, bite the bullet and visit a doctor: You might have something a bit worse than a run-of-the-mill cold.
If all you have is just a cold, you should start seeing an improvement as soon as tonight.
Good luck!
Q: What is the best facial hair removal technique out there... ?
...Besides waxing and laser hair treatment.
I have hair in certain places in my face where I don't want it , what is the best technique out there to remove them? Okay, it's the upper lip. I hear it's quite normal for females. It's not visible really, but I want to remove it.
Will using a cream (please suggest a brand) work? They are only about $3-7 in places I've seen them, so is getting them worth it?
Let's say I don't have any allergies to the chemicals in one of the creams I may use in the future, but I'm still worried irritation will follow. Will it?
Will using a facial hair LOTION do anything? Will the acid in the lotion have an effect on my face?
Will creams leave a dark surface or a stubble?
It's a buttload of questions, but if you can answer any, thanks for your time.
Okay, I'll be brave and take upper lip waxing products. I hear waxing hurts, but also been reading it's the safest and best out of the possible ideas besides laser hair treatment.
A: one advantage of using cream is they do a mild exfoliation, so they leave your face plain with no blemish, for my side kicks! I use brun's epilator.
Q: i need to know about autism?
Can anyone tell me how autism affects their moment.is their an affect to food allergies. what are the best treatments for my child. does anyone knoe how the childs autism effects the family outcome. i am trying to learn but anything a person who has gone through it can tell me that the basic text on the screen hase`nt thank you
A: I've got Asperger's syndrome. I have no food allergies, and my family seems to be pretty normal. I'd talk to a psychiatrist specializing in childhood disorders to find out how to treat your son or daughter. My parents are married, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of marital stress between my mom and dad. Sometimes my brothers (both younger) complain that I always get my way because my family is afraid I'm going to break something, although perhaps that's just sibling rivalry.
