Learn About What Are The Best Fertility Treatments.
Q: Fertility treatments?
Since abortion and Birth control are funded by taxpayers . . . do you think that should fertility treatments as well?
Do you think "pro-choice" is a two way street?
A: No because firstly it is too expensive, and not reliable enough (ie, most people need it more than once) and only benefits a tiny portion of the population compared to birth control and abortion.
What does the last sentence mean? It makes no sense.
Plus, having children is not necessary. It is an option. One that if free, tonnes of more people would simply decide to do, and use up all the money that has to be shared out between more important things.
That's why expensive cancer drugs are not given to people with cancer. Because the money needs to be used for the whole population. Not just them, unfortunately. And 500 people could be treated for something else for the cost of their supplying them with 1 medication.
Q: Fertility Treatments?
My friend Sarah has been trying to get pregnant fo about 19 months with no luck.
She has been to the doctor who keeps saying that after 24 months he will look in to putting them on fertility treatment. But, she doesn't want to go through the gruelling medical treatment and would prefer to go for natural therapies. She has looked in to a few (i don't know the full details) and so far no luck.
She would like to have twins also (a perk of IVF) incase she has trouble falling pregnant again. Has anyone had any good experiences or know of good fertility treatments that don't need a prescription?
I feel really bad around her lately as I am pregnant with my second so any good news I could give her would be great!
A: eating healthy and some herbs can increase fertility. increasing appetite 200 or 300 calories is also a good thing to do to help her body prepare for pregnancy
Q: How many fertility treatments can I get in my circumstances?
I am a carrier of a genetic disorder (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy) which only affects males and am considering egg seperation, which includes removing eggs and having them fertilised In Virtro and then implanting only the female eggs.
What I want to know is, how many fertility treatments can I get at a time, and what happens after I sucessfully have a child in terms of future treatment?
A: You have nothing to worry about. The sperm carrys the gender gene not the egg x x x
Edit: Looks like we got a thumbs down fairy !
Q: How much does it cost to get fertility treatments and do they work?
I have been trying to have a baby and tried doing it the natural way for about 8 months. I would like more info on the fertility treatments, my aunt had them done but my husband and I don't want anyone to know we are trying so I don't really want to ask anyone I know about them. Can you please help?
A: You can easily check your minimal health care rates in internet, for example here - health-quotes.isgreat.org
Q: How much did the US spend on fertility treatments?
Does anyone know how much the US has spent on fertility treatments in the past few years? Also, have any of our tax dollars been given to fertility programs?
A: Cant really be sure, unless your gov't you dont realy have much access to that kind of stuff but my guess is less than cancer reasearch, but probally not enough. Plus it costs 10 thousand for invitrofertilization, and that;s the only way of fertization i could think of. and if it costs 10 grand for one of those for 1 needle that makes a kid..... i dont think the govt made much effort to keep the cost lower so my guess is not much and not enough\
Happy new years!!!

Q: How did the single mom of 6 who just had 8 more afford the expensive fertility treatments?
I want to have kids but can't afford fertility treatments which my insurance doesn't cover. I am getting old and my clock is ticking and I don't have 1 baby, yet she not only already had 6 and was on welfare but was able to afford fertilization treatment and afford delivery of 8 more babies. Can someone explain so I can follow the path she took? I don't want to remain childless. Thanks.
The other 6 were conceived by invitro as well. All the fetuses were injected inside of her. Her parents who are raising the other 6 had gone through foreclosure and lost their last house and recently filed bankruptcy. I am trying to be understanding but it has ulterior motives obviously and I want to know how she afforded the invetro considering they are very poor and I have a normal job and can't afford it for ONE.
A: She or her doctor slipped through a legal crack somewhere.
My heart breaks for people like yourself when things like this happen. The unfairness is ridiculous.
Q: Why could I become pregnant on my own but not with fertility treatments?
After ttc for a couple of years, I became pregnant 3 times within a year. All 3 times were very early miscarriages. I started seeing a fertility doc and he began giving me fertility treatments so I could become pregnant again faster and he could monitor it for a healthier pregnancy. Since doing the treatments, I have not become pregnant again. It's been about a year now. He doesn't know why. Does anyone know any reason I would become pregnant on my own every few months, then never again after starting the treatments?
A: It's probably a progesterone problem you have or something similar.
I would look online to see how you can fix that and ask your doc.
I would also switch docs as this one really doesn't seem to be helping you.
I have had 5 miscarriages and have 2 healthy boys (I had one boy and then 4 mc's then another boy and another mc) for me it's the hormones, my body doesn't tend to work well in that department and we need them to grow a pregnancy.
Ask your new doc for prolactin tests to see if your pituitary gland is functioning correctly as that gland can throw off all the hormones and cause miscarriage!
Good Luck sweetie!
Q: How did the woman who gave birth to octuplets pay for the fertility treatments?
fertility treatments are expensive. I am wanting to have a child but can't afford IVF. I'm sure she had no money to pay for those embryos to be implanted, which seems unfair to other women who desperately want kids but can't afford the $10,000.
Anybody have any knowledge of where to get IVF at an affordable price?
A: I would like to know the answer to that one myself. Not to mention what kind of doctor would transfer 8 embryos to a woman how has been pregnant before. I would not be surprised if his license were revoked.
As far as the where to get IVF. I had the same problem, cost. I was lucky enough to find a doctor who was doing a study on the fresh transfer VS Frozen out come. I was able to get IVF for $3200.00. Which is still not easy to come up with. This did not include meds, blood draws or ultra-sounds. I was lucky that my insurance covered those. Do some research on the internet. You might get lucky. By the way the fresh transfer did not take (3) embryos. The frozen one did. (2) embryos transferred one took. I wish you the best.
Q: why did the octuplet's mom have fertility treatments to begin with when she already has 6 other kids?
I haven't heard them say she used fertility treatments with those kids too, if she did she must be extremely wealthy, b/c those treatments are very expensive for even one round.
my point is, unless I am missing something, it doesn't seem like she had fertility problems in the past, so why now is she having powerful fertility treatments?
A: They were all singles except for the 2 year-old twins. Maybe she was frustrated with poppin' em out only one- or two- and a time, and wanted to quickly get up to 13- or 14?
The grandmother says the mother wanted a fertility treatment just to have one more. But you're right, something doesn't add up. And when a single, bankrupt mom has 6 kids, why so much money and desparation to have more?
Q: Are fertility treatments claimable on your taxes?
I read a comment somewhere to keep your receipts form fertility treatments because you can claim it on your taxes?? I have heard of that for adoption but not that. Does anyone know?
A: Yes. If your out-of pocket medical expense is high you may be able to deduct a portion of your medical bills on your income tax return. To do this you must be able to itemize deductions on your tax return and your medical expenses must exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income (AGI).
Q: Any good advice on getting pregnant without fertility treatments?
I have been trying to conceive my third child for three years now with no luck. Any advice without getting fertility treatments?
A: I checked my CM and my cervical position and opening. It opens and drops some wen you are fertile. Plus I spent alot of time after sex with my butt up on several pillow. I took some herbs to help. Any local herbalist or online search will tell you which aid in getting preg. My Gparents are amer indian and swore by them. They had 15. I have 5 boys age 20 to 1. The last 2 were after aving my tubes untied.
Q: How to get pregnant with twins without fertility treatments?
Ok my family does not have genetics of twins and i dont need fertility treatments because im allergic and im not going 2 have a fertilized egg inplanted in me to get twins is there any position to get twins while having sex what can i do to get twins
A: Having twins is pure good luck without fertility treatments. I have twins in my family and so does my fiance. We now have 11 month old identical twin girls! It was spontaneous. We weren't even trying to get pregnant. And it's not been proven that any position will give twins.
Q: Can you have fertility treatments when you can still have a kid on your own?
Can you have fertility treatments when you can have kids on your own just so theres more of a chance you'll have multiples?
A: No.
Any doctor who deserves to be a doctor knows that the higher risk for both the children of mother of multiples is not worth it in situations where the woman is fertile.
Having multiples greatly increases the chances of physical and mental problems in the children, why would you even consider doing that? Is it because the kids on Jon & Kate plus 8 look cute? Ridiculously selfish/stupid.
Edit - In terms of SJK, yes with surrogates they generally will always implant more than once, since they often don't implant properly.
And Angelina and Brad did not use fertility treatments.
Q: Why did John and Kate Gosslin use fertility treatments to have kids?
I was just wondering why did they use fertility treatments? Just curious!
Yes I've been watching the marathon all day!!
A: they used fertility because kate was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome and she couldnt have children on her own....hoped tht helped....
Q: Who has taken online fertility treatments?
I was reading about this and was wondering if anyone has actually bought and taken online fertility treatments themselves? If so, what was your outcome. Im not planning on taking them, I was just curious to know
A: Wow, I didn't know such a thing was possible. How would ultrasounds and bloodwork be done?
Oh wait........do you mean buying the meds online? I would be very leary of doing that. How can you really trust the source? And, of course, anything can happen during shipping....
