Q: Hair treatments?
I was wondering if you know of any hair treatments that make hair smoother/shinier almost instantly. I don't want a miracle, but I'm traveling next monday and was hoping to make my hair look better. Thanks for the help!
A: hair mayonnaise works good and makes your hair healthy you can find it where they sell African American hair products at drugstores ,and hot oil treatments are the best
Q: Hair Treatments?
Has anyone done any treatments to their hair to help with dryness?
Hot oil treatments? Yes or no? Do they make your hair greasy at all?
Any other treatments that work well?
A: an alternative to commercially prepared hot oil treatments is coconut oil. you just massage it into your hair and scalp, wrap in a towel or shower cap and leave on for at least 5 hours. over night is best. shampoo off very well so it won't feel greasy afterwards. very effective and natural.
Q: hair treatments?????
is it best to put hair treatments(or deep conditioning) in after u wash it, or can u just make your hair wet and put it in? does is make a difference??
A: either way is good
Q: What are some easy hair treatments that will make hair shiny and soft?
my hair is pretty straight and i want it to be healthy, shiny, and soft! im about to get in the shower, is there any treatments i can do before, after, or in the shower? preferably easy things and with stuff around the house, cuz i cant buy anything right now. thanks!
A: olive oil or mayonnaise..put it on your scalp and then put a shower cap over it and leave it on for 10 minutes(5 minutes longer if you have thick hair)..then wash it out...really really good because mayo stinks
Q: What are the best hair treatments to get lustrous shiny hair?
i have dry, frizzy hair with lots of breakage that needs help-- and need a treatment that will add lots of shine (and softness) that *doesn't* damage but actually makes hair healthier. For example.. are cellophanes better than ionic treatments-- or is there something even better out there? Help!
A: I use hot oil treatments in the shower twice a week (Tresemme). It's cheap, easy and really works. I have thick, coarse, frizzy hair, but this works wonders. My hairdresser commented on how soft my hair was the last time I went in for a cut.
Q: what can be done for someone whose laser facial hair treatments did not work?
I know a young girl who is depressed and forced to shave facial hair after five laser treatments that burned her face and did not reduce hair. Any suggestions for a treatment course?
A: uh. just wax? you'll get used to doing it a lot eventually... I suggest parissa hardening wax.
Q: How often can you put hot oil treatments in your hair?
I bought tresemme hair treatments from walmart and I was wondering how often you can use them. Its the kind you wash out.Or does anyone know of a better kind?
A: Once per week for those with damaged hair, once every two weeks for people without damaged hair, and no oil treatments at all for people who color it (the oil strips out the dye).
I'd go with plain olive oil or coconut oil for hot oil treatments. They are cheaper and can also be used to cook with.
Q: What are the differences of these hair treatments?
Relax, Rebond, Straightening, Hot Oil, and Hair Spa...
and also if I want to lessen or minimize my hair fall, among these treatments what should I get? (I have a straight black hair- your typical Asian hair) and is it okay for me to have a hot oil treatment even though my hair is naturally oily but a bit frizzy..
A: Relaxing you hair is kinda like a perm(Have you seen those relaxer boxes called dark and lovely......)Relaxing your hair makes you hair straight and is usually used by african-american
Straightening is straightening with the flat iron or hair straightener
Hair spa is when you go to the salon and they do a lot of thins on your hair ,like massaging your scalp.......
Yes ,it's ok for you to get hot oil treatments,it will repair the damage on your hair
you can also get deep conditionning, its really good
Good luck and Happy New Year.
Q: What are some hair treatments that are similar to henna treatments?
I have heard that henna hair treatments bring out natural highlights and shine to hair, my hair color is dark brown and very flat/dull during the fall and winter months and I was wondering if there is a treatment I can get to give live back to my hair, not necessarily using henna treatments?
A: another tratment is apply lemon juice to hair which may highlight ur hair
Q: Do deep conditioning hair treatments work?
I have horrible thin, limp, and frizzy hair. Does anyone have experience/suggestions with deep conditioning treatments? Should i do a home one, or are ones at the salon really better?
A: Yes, hair conditioning treatments really do work. The ones at salons are always the best because they can use higher concentrations of what they are allowed to sell in the store because they are professionals, but if you want something that you can use at home, I love the Biolage Conditioning Balm. Apply to wet hair, cover with a bag and apply heat (hair dryer) for a few minutes, then continue to let it stay on for as long as you want- even up to an hour if you'd like. Rinse with cool water. Good Luck!
Q: what are good recipes for hair treatments?
I've heard that mayonnaise works really well to make your hair look perfect are their any good recipes for hair treatments that work really well?
A: I've heard that raw egg works well too!
Q: I am pregnant, am I not allowed to undergo hair treatments?
I'm 4 months pregnant and I'm planning to have my hair treated at the salon, like cellophane, hair relaxers or rebonding. Some of my friends say it's bad for pregnant women. Is this true? What hair treatments are safe for me?
A: I am a hairdresser, there is no proof that hair treatments are bad for the baby, although it is recommenced NOT to do anything to your hair until you are past your first trimester. If you wanted to color your hair you should ask your hairdresser to use a low volume peroxide, cellophane should be ok because there is no peroxide and it is a semi permanent hair color. As far as relaxers go, I would stay away from them. Those are harsh chemicals and there is alot of manipulation to the scalp with those procedures, also, hair texture has a tendency to change during pregnancy, so what used to take 30 minutes to process may process in 15-20 minutes, so you could over process your hair and end up frying it. That's just my opinion. Check with your doctor to be safe. Good luck
Q: what are some good hair treatments for extremely dry hair?
my hair is absolutely fried! i highlighted it with carmel then highlighted it again with blonde so my hair is so dry corse and stringy. i need a few remedies and treatments i can do for it so it was start to get back to its normal state. PLEAAASE HELPP
A: buy some salon hair care. alcohol free and bottles that'll last a while. Also get some deep conditioning products like aussie's three minute miracle.
make sure when you're washing your hair that you don't wash out the conditioner until the end, also rinse it with cold water. use daily leave in conditioners to protect and it and moisturize. protects it from the sun too.
hah sorry about your hair, try to be patient :)
Q: Will using home hair treatments too often damage it in the long run?
I mean, the treatment comes in a bottle, and it's supposed to nourish your hair, but will it eventually damage it if I use it like say, every other day? (Because my hair's really dry.) The treatment is sort of like a conditioner.
A: Hot oil is really bad for your hair, though for some reason people think that it is a conditioning treatment. So avoid hot oil anyway. As far as conditioning treatments they do not cause any damage. But if you condition too often it can cause your hair to become oily, though this is not a permanent side effect and will stop when you shampoo. I have fairly dry hair and I do conditioning treatments every other or every day.
Q: how to avoid side effects of hair loss treatments and have an effective hair regrowth ?
I have tried minoxidil, finasteride, richfeel, dr batra's, ayurvedic but nothing helped. Is there really something which helps to regrow. I am losing hair since 3 years and my scalp is seen.Anybody had any regrowth with any treatment? Any hair treatment specialist in Mumbai? I am desperate to get my hair back.
A: go to revital trichology in bandra.......my brother is benefited by their treatment...we can see his head full by 40% in 3 months. their treatment is good.
