Q: Skin Products?
what good skin products are there out there? for face and body. im grateful for any answers.

A: for your face the ebst you can do, is once a day, steam your face with a hot flanel, this opens the pores and gets rid of any dirt trapped in them, then rinse with cold water to close the pores again. Next the best skin clenser you can buy is good old fashined witch hazel, forget the big name brands. Apply this with a cotten wool pad and your skin will feel clean and any signs of makeup will be removed. As for creams i suggest olay beaty fluid, and for your body johnsons baby lotion. This is all good stuff. my nan recomends it an she looks fab!

Q: skin products?
for my back? Has pimples, not bad but kinda gross lol. Any good skin products that actually work? I've tried, and none work well. If possible, natural products? thankss.

A: firstly use a loofah and a skin scrub to remove excess oil in your skin then you can use a face cleanser that contains any astringent like witch hazel in it. you can use this all over body any where that you have acne. you need to use the cleanser every day use the scrub once a week. you should notice some difference after a week.

Q: What products are best for my sensitive skin?
I have sensitive skin, and I have random small break-outs (nothing horrible). However, I have used Cetaphil and it burns my skin. Recently, I tried the DDF sensitive skin line of cleansers, toner, and SPF 15 moisturizer, and I also recently started using Bare Minerals cosmetics. My face is having yet another allergic reaction either to the make-up or the cleansers. Since I have sensitive skin, why are sensitive skin products causing irritation and burning for me? Is it a certain ingredient in these products that makes this happen? Are there any recommended products for situations like mine? Thanks so much!

A: I know where you are coming from,I've got extremely sensitIve and allergic skin, ive tried allot of things out there. The best products I have found are natural based and do not contain synthetics,I use a scent free glycerin soap called clearly natural, for my toner I use plain witch hazel and then i follow it with a scent free natural lotion without parabins.Bare minerals doesn't bother my skin,I recommend you look for gentle products at a whole foods store if it doesn't work on Ur skin u can always return it,just save the receipt Best of luck! For Sensitive skin avoid the following fragrances para bins sodium laurel sulfates synthetic cleansers

Q: What are the essential skin products for healthy and smooth skin?
I know moisturizers one. What about all those other fancy stuff like .. toners, cleansers etc. Are they essential for nice skin? What products do you use? What do you RECOMMEND?

A: ►(scrub), cleanse, tone, moisturize these are the basic steps to achieve healthy and smooth skin.. scrub once a week. I recommend: *St. Ives Apricot Scrub *Neutrogena Scrub Cleanse *facial wash that you always use and doesn't cause breakouts.. Tone - to cleanse deep seated dirt that your cleanser left.. * Dickinson's Witch Hazel Astringent (Blue variant is milder than the yellow variant, but I'm using the yellow one and it doesn't cause me any breakouts so far) Moisturizer * again, your favorite moisturizer YOU CAN also add a good EYE CREAM to take care of those eye bags, fine lines, crow's feet, dark circles around the eyes.. just splurge on good and proven brands.. i recommend *HYLEXIN but it's kind of a bit expensive for an eye cream.. but it's really effective.. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR FACIAL REGIMEN!!

Q: What are the best skin products for skin like mine?
I have combination skin, not too dry but a little and then a little oily on my t-zone. I have naturally red skin and I want an even skin tone. I get bags under my eyes and to top it all off I have acne prone skin so I need some salicylic acid or something in my routine so that zits don't pop up. Any suggestions on products or brands I should use?

A: Alot of Clearisil products have 2% salicylic acid in them. I would recommend a cleanser from that line. I would also recommend staying away from products that contain benzoyl peroxide (a drying agent used in skin care.) Products like AcneFree (which you buy at Walmart) contain ALOT of benzoyl peroxide. It's unhealthy for your skin because it dries it out too much. Causing you to flake and become even more red. For evening out your skin tone, (as far as make up goes) look for concealers and powders that have a yellow undertone to them. It'll cancel out the redness. I would suggest anything from the Almay line (you can purchase these products at Walmart.) If you're scared you'll break out from makeup, Almay carries products that also contain salicylic acid. Good luck!

Q: What skin products do Japanese women use to take care of their skin?

Q: Who makes the best skin products for the price?
I currently use Clinique. It works well, but it a little pricey. Any ideas on another brand that may be more cost effective? I am a little nervous to switch. My skin is oily/combo and I am prone to some breakouts but mostly blackheads. I am in my late twenties. I have heard Mary Kay works well, but I was hoping to find something that is easier to buy. Any ideas? And is it necessary to stick with the same brand for all face products?

A: Well...I used to be a mk consultant and i would say that the only skin care product they sell that actually is worth the money is the day solution. The velocity dried my face out so badly i couldn't even use it. That said- Dove is a great value for the money. The lotions are packed with antioxidants and moisturizers that you would normally pay much more for. If you are looking for anti-aging products try Olay. I think olay makes more products geared toward break outs than dove. Products with 2% salycilic acid are great for keeping breakouts and blackheads away.

Q: Affordable facial skin products that work?
I have tried many drug store facial products. I suffer from black heads and red blemishes on my cheeks and nose. I find that certain products dry my skin to a crisp and moisturizing after prevents the dried effects but makes my skin look and feel oily. Does anyone know of any facial products that are affordable (Walmart, Shoppers etc.) that they have had success with?

A: I absolutely love Aveeno Clear Complexion foaming face wash and moisturizing lotion. I won't use anything else at all! It makes my skin so smooth and the tone of my skin has improved 100%. I have both oily and dry skin and I don't have any problems at all. Make sure you splash cold water on your face after you wash with luke warm water to close the pores of you skin!!! This product is at Walmart!

Q: What skin products are good for large pores, blackheads, and real oily skin?
My skin as always been difficult to treat and products usually do not work on me. My nose is filled with blackheads and none of the treatments I have used worked. My pores on my nose are also big. My skin is real oily and nothing really calms it down. Does anybody have any suggestions?

A: Typically gel cleansers are recommended for oily skin types. Careful not to overwash your skin though (I know it's tempting to keep washing that oily shine away!). Twice a day is enough. More than that and your skin will react by producing even more sebum, cos' that's how our skin naturally reacts when cleansing actually removes away our natural skin lipids/oils. Do use a mattifying facial toner after washing. There are these new generation toners that contain mattifying powders in them. Shake before use and when applied, your skin will feel comfortably matt. Brands that offer the powder-in-toner include BIOTHERM, AVENE. After toner, follow with an oil-free moisturiser. Hope above helps...Good luck :))

A: well my family have used both the cellulite cream and i used both the acnezine solutions and swear by it, it worked wonders for me we got our creams from http://www.revitol.site88.net

Q: What skin products can I purchase from cvs/walmart, or walgreens to make my skin lighter?
I'm Black, and I want my skin to look a little little(Just slightly)any products for african americans? I've also heard that using lemons make your skin lighter.. Is this true? will it work for my skin?

A: Yes, you can purchase products to make your skin lighter. I'm not really sure as to whether you're wanting to make it more clear/get rid of scars or marks or just make the overall color lighter. Basically, it's not a good idea to try to bleach your skin overall. It is a good idea to take care of your skin and moisturize it well so that you will have a youthful, healthy glow. The lightening creams sold in retail stores are more so made for getting rid of spots form scars, acne, wrinkles etc. Over time, our skin gets dull and damaged from weather inside and out. That may make your skin look dry, ashy, dull, and just not that great overall. It's better to use the right products to bring out new skin and get a great complexion, than to dry to change the tone of your skin. It also depends on whether you have dry or oily skin. A good thing for anyone, especially people of color to use is cocoa butter soap. Walmart and other chains carry it, but it's much cheaper and a more pure quality to buy it from a Dollar Store chain. They carry it in their brand for really cheap, and it will work wonders with your skin. Use a sugar scrub, you can buy it at Walmart in their brand or St. Ives for under $3 usually. Or you can make it at home yourself and it's the same thing, you basically get a small jar put some lemon juice concentrate (probably a couple of tablespoons), half a cup of white granulated sugar, and a 1/4 cup of honey or maple syrup whichever you have. You mix it together, then scrub your face in it (be careful not to get it in your eyes due to the lemon). This will slough off the old, dead skin. Another good product to have is the Green Julep mud mask by Queen Helen. It dries up pimples and helps keep your skin clear, follow the scrub up with this and leave on for about ten minutes, then wash off. You can get the mask at Dollar Stores or Walmart in the cosmetics sections. Always follow these up with a wash in the cocoa butter soap. Then use Witch Hazel (it comes from the pharmacy dept at Walmart or Dollar Store has it). Take cotton balls and dip in the witch hazel then rub your face down with it to remove any soap residue that will clog your pores. Follow up with Nivea Q-10 wrinkle cream (they sell it at Walmart for about $10, it works good and lasts a long time, you're probably thinking that you don't need wrinkle cream but it's not just for wrinkles, you can use it on scars, stretch marks, age spots, any kind of mark you want to get rid of). Make sure to use this cream at night, or wear sunscreen of at least 30 spf if you use it in the day time. This will gently peel of layers of old skin and reveal clearer skin, as well as lighten it. Then, if you need more moisture use Queen Helen cocoa butter lotion (they sell it at Dollar Stores or Walmart which has more for less money). Cocoa butter is very good for your skin and will help to give it a healthy glow without being too oily. It also absorbs better into the skin, giving it needed vitamins and minerals. If you are prone to breakouts, then buy plenty of zit cream from the Dollar Store (I can't remember the name of it, but it's like $1 a tube to Walmart's $4 per tube, it has the same ingredients and works great). Just dab that on when you get a zit and it'll be gone in no time. Putting on the lotion at night after your shower will help with your complexion all over. Other than these things, you can buy skin lightening creams at Walmart or the Dollar Store for about the same price, they are usually about the same as far as how they work. Sometimes, they will have mild or strong for the strength of how fast the cream is supposed to lighten, or they will have sunscreen in them which is what you want. Just be aware that it's better not to use these all over but only on targeted places such as knees, elbows, scars, spots, and other marks. Do not wear any lightening creams without sunscreen, as this will not work and could make you tan even more or burn you. You can also take vitamin A to help with this, it will take two weeks to get into your system and start working. You can buy these at Walmart as well. Just be aware that you shouldn't take too many, as vitamin A causes light sensitivity in excess. All of these things are pretty cheap, and should give you great results.

Q: Which skin products are the best for sensitive skin?
Whenever I use SOME new products, I always get the odd pimple and it's horrible. I'm looking for some cleansing pads that will keep my skin clear, also I would like a new moisturizer and any other products you reccommend.
